Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara national park
Your safari guide will meet you at your hotel in Arusha. Drive you to Lake Manyara national park. En-route, you will have a stop in the famous Mto wa Mbu village for a brief cultural experience. After procced to Lake Manyara national park driving straight to your lodge for check in and for a delicious lunch. Later in the early afternoon after some down time, you will go on a game drive to explore the park.
Drive to the soda lake which covers approximately two-thirds of the park’s protected area. The lake and its surrounding habitats support a diverse wildlife including flamingos and many other different bird species, elephants, lions, giraffes, waterbucks, buffalos, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, leopards, hyenas, impalas among others which you will encounter on your drive around the park. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire national park
Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara national park, after which you will transfer to Tarangire national park home to giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. You will go on an afternoon game drive to explore the different landscapes and habitats of Tarangire looking out for zebras, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, buffalos, lions, hippos, different bird species among others. Overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Morning game drive – End of safari
After breakfast, take on an early morning game drive around Tarangire national park after which you will be driven back to Arusha for a drop off at the airport or back to your hotel marking the end of your 3-day Lake Manyara & Tarangire safari.
